For some free entertainment, check out the weekly summer concert series by the Ashland City Band at the Lithia Park Bandshell; held on Thursday evenings from June to August, these Ashland OR music concerts provide a perfect opportunity to pack a picnic dinner and enjoy Ashland’s beautiful downtown park.
If you’re a fan of classic orchestral and choral music, the Southern Oregon University Recital Hall is home to the Chamber Music Concerts and also features performances year round by groups such as the Rogue Valley Symphony Orchestra and Southern Oregon Repertory Singers.
Touring acts also stop in Southern Oregon year round. The Historic Ashland Armory has hosted plenty of great artists from many different genres, running the gamut from Michael Franti to Snoop Dogg.
Fifteen miles up the road in Jacksonville, Britt Festivals is an outstanding, scenic outdoor music venue that hosts dozens of world-class performers every summer. Pack a dinner and a couple bottles of wine, and enjoy a Britt show this summer; there’s truly no better way to enjoy music in Southern Oregon than under the stars.
