Aspen Point Camping
Located 30 miles from Ashland in the Fremont National Forest, this enchanting area along the banks of Lake of the Woods offers something from the most rugged of campers to the resort-loving enthusiast at Lake of the Woods Resort. Fishing at Lake of the Woods will likely net you your limit of Kokanee Salmon, perch, and bass, along with plenty of brown and rainbow trout. Animals of the area include deer, elk, bear, antelope, mountain lions and bobcats. Also along the banks of the lake, visitors will find hiking trails, biking paths and a stable for horseback riding.
