*While it was a small grass fire just outside of town, it is an ominous sign for things to come this summer. The fire is suspected to be caused by an electric fence.*

*Have you seen Reese Witherspoon’s photo diary of her time filming “Wild” in Oregon? It includes a shot in Lithia Park, among other gorgeous Oregon vistas.

*A $500,000 sound system has been installed in the Elizabethan Theatre at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which should improve the amazing OSF experience even more.*

*The Ashland City Council is hosting a special meeting tomorrow night (Thursday) to discuss the Normal Neighborhood plan, that has met resistance due to concerns over traffic, reduced wildlife habitat, and inadequate sewer and storm drain systems and a lack of water supply.*

*Crater Lake’s North Rim entrance has opened and the West Rim Drive is open to traffic, while the Eastern portion is currently open to hiking and biking.*

*Congratulations to Ashland High School students Hanna Greenberg and Vika O’Brien for winning their 3rd straight state doubles tennis title!*
