The first story today is regarding a large $3 million donation from the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The money will support a variety of items, including stage work, marketing and maintenance and restoration. LINK
KDRV reports on an archaeological dig that has been recently resumed in Jacksonville. The dig is searching for items from an old Chinese Quarter from Chinese workers in, likely, the late 1800’s. LINK
KDRV also updates us the status of The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s fish stocking program in the lakes and rivers of the region. Find out which waterways have been stocked already and which are still planned to be stocked. LINK

The Ashland Police Department is out to curb bicycle theft by installing a new, creative program to catch thieves in the act. In the first week of the program, 5 individuals have already been arrested. LINK
