Exciting news for anyone who appreciates nature and animals. A wolf was recently spotted near Mt. Hood and the wolf population in Oregon has grown over the past year. LINK

Due to the concerns of the major financial cuts being made at SOU, the faculty has agreed to hold off on any salary increases for the next two years. The faculty has also taken a recent vote regarding their confidence in university leadership, the results should be announced soon. LINK*

Further cuts at Southern Oregon University can be seen on the student fee side, where The Daily Tidings is reporting that the student newspaper has received its own share of funding cuts. LINK*
