As we lead up to Earth Day on April 22nd, Insight to Ashland will bring you a four part series from Southern Oregon Climate Action Now co-founder Alan Journet. The first two parts are listed below, with the next two soon to be published:

The first part of the series discusses the Rogue Basin’s Climate Trends and Projections. LINK

Our most recent article presents Alan’s many concerns on the Keystone XL pipeline. As he alarmingly states, “The tax for carbon emissions is already being paid – in suffering”. LINK

Another appropriate feature as we approach Earth Day, The Daily Tidings brings us an article this week on the challenges facing monarch butterflies. LINK*

One more article honoring nature, this one from the Mail Tribune who reports on the roughly 75 people who showed up to the “Blessing Mount Ashland” ceremony on Tuesday afternoon. LINK*

SOU is hosting its Arbor Day event today from 10am to 4pm. Check out more details on the event: LINK
